TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on the active region of the endogenous 43-amino acid protein Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4). The key sequence Ac-LSDKP has been identified as responsible for many of Tβ4’s biological activities including G-actin sequestration, cell migration, and angiogenesis promotion. Research has explored its role in wound healing, cardiac repair, neurological recovery, and anti-inflammatory signalling.
